The Women’s March was massive, it is hard to accurately depict what it’s like to be walking with over 500,000 people. It’s surprisingly difficult to go against the flow. There were various important people and celebs mixing with the crowd, though I didn’t run into them. I didn’t see any “incidents” though I am told there were 3 heart attacks and 1 woman had a baby, I can’t confirm this! I became separated from my Mpls group immediately since I took time to chat with Senator Amy Klobuchar & to get a photo… and then I went on a personal quest for Starbucks (isn’t that what it’s all about?). My mission for coffee was successful! In the end, I was saved from aimless wandering by people from Boston, New York and Colorado. They were solid!
Everyone was cool, there was a fair amount of weed in the air and no toilet paper in the porta potties. You might have seen the pink… hats. I didn’t wear one- not my deal, though lots of other people did wear them in D.C. and every other city. I saw many people wearing whole body costumes with that female body part as the theme. I will leave it at that since this blog is family friendly, but let me just say: very creative.
My personal belief is that the reason Donald fired the Parks commander at noon on 1/20 was to cause the garbages and biffies to overflow on 1/21. SAD! No matter- all the museums were open and free! Good places to warm up, etc!
